Ottawa, ON – Today Dave Mackenzie, MP for Oxford would like to alert the public to what appears to be fraudulent emails purported to be from Canada Revenue Agency requesting personal information on credit cards in order to receive a refund.

Canada Revenue Agency has confirmed that this correspondence is fictitious and does not originate from a legitimate source.

We would like to alert the public to not respond on these emails.

Tax payers may confirm with Canada Revenue on any unsolicited correspondence received at 1-800-959-8281.
