Governments Of Canada And British Columbia Team Up To Help Unemployed Older Workers In Courtenay And Area

Up to 60 unemployed older workers in Courtenay and nearby communities will receive help to improve their skills and re-enter the workforce through the Targeted Initiative for Older Workers (TIOW). The announcement was made today by the Honourable John Duncan, Minister of Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development and Member of Parliament for Vancouver Island North, on behalf of the Honourable Diane Finley, Minister of Human Resources and Skills Development, together with the Honourable Pat Bell, Minister of Jobs, Tourism and Skills Training and Minister Responsible for Labour for British Columbia.
